The experimental documentary is a genre of art house cinema. It is characterized by an unusual aesthetic and a unique expressive style. During this workshop, participants will be invited to discover this genre and make a short documentary film.

Anas El Hatimi
Anas El Hatimi is an independent documentary filmmaker and producer based in Casablanca, working in the fields of cinema, communication and media.
He has been consistently launching several artistic projects, producing and directing documentary and fiction films through his production company “Maghrebian Art Company”, as well as “Hadra Kobra Project”, a platform for archiving traditional music.
His first feature-length documentary “The Secret Garden of Tsunami”, an art house visual experience, was shown in the official competitions of Rabat’s Festival International du Cinéma d’Auteur and the Tangier National Film Festival in 2020.
Since then, Anas has maintained his commitment to speaking up against social inequality and promoting respect for others by delving into the hidden worlds of silent minorities in the Maghreb.
