20: Workshop Film mediation
From October 2nd to October 9th 2023
At this stage of the Qisas program and as part of educating young people about the image, it is necessary for the participants to develop cultural and filmic mediation techniques so that they can weave a close relationship with their creative subjects, the films they watch and any creative experience they may undertake. This workshop is therefore designed to be an exercise in interpreting and decoding vocal extracts and films to discover the different forms and multimedia supports, as well as the spaces, senses and bodies used for filmic mediation.

Sophia ATTIGUI
Sophia Attigui is an artist and designer born in Casablanca, Morocco and based in Brussels, Belgium. She works on the one hand with the time and space of research and investigation, conceptualization and reception, and, on the other hand, with the time and space of what has been, what it is and what it is to become.
More specifically, perhaps, she wishes to develop experiences and perceptions of time and space that offer new alternatives and disrupt the foundations of dominant discourses and modes of representation. She thinks of her work as one sort of storytelling, or as the documentary genre revisited.
